In the 16th century, murder didn't just lurk in the shadows. It paid rent there. It thrived behind courtly manners, political alliances, and a suspiciously loud rustle of silk sleeves trying to hide something sharp. For centuries, these stories have waited, untouched, unanswered, and frankly a little offended that nobody bothered to check on them. I'm Jayland, your guide through the fascinating forensics of the past, the bodies, the blood, and the baffling investigative methods that, you know, mostly just involve guessing and hoping. My sister and co-host handles the historical intrigue, while I handle the part where we gently poke at 500-year-old medical mysteries with a gloved hand and a raised brow. With a background in healthcare and nursing, I'm here to help peel back the layers of history's most chilling crimes, and also occasionally sigh the fact that 16th century medicine thought, maybe it's humors was a diagnosis. But this season, we're reopening cases that haven't been touched in over half a millennium. The motives are tangled, but the evidence is scarce, and the truth is steeped in treachery. Also possibly poisoned and definitely dramatic. So pour yourself a cup, settle into the candlelight, and join us as we descend into the dark heart of the 1500s, where the tea is hot, the crimes are cold, and the corpses let's just say they're very committed to their role. Tea and treachery premieres July 5th. Look for us on your favorite podcast streaming app.
